Following an exhibit & sale of gardening books for Earth Day, PEAT was able to present several resources to the Peaks gardening community. Look in the library to see two new books

One of the hardest things for gardeners in Maine is waiting to plant until the soil finally warms up sufficiently. A good way to pass the time is to read and plot and plan about your future garden and nowadays it’s also possible to watch videos: a grand distraction for old timers and welcome instruction for novices.
BBC has  over 100 free little movies about hands-on gardening, which are excellent mini lessons.

Take care, however, to adjust for the differences in planting times!
